Description:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced individual to join our esteemed institution as a Lecturer in Cyber Security. As a Lecturer, you will have the opportunity to shape the next generation of cybersecurity professionals by delivering high-quality lectures, facilitating engaging discussions, and leading hands-on practical sessions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver lectures on various topics related to Cyber Security, including but not limited to, network security, cryptography, ethical hacking, incident response, risk management, and secure software development.
- Create and implement course syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments that align with program objectives and industry standards.
- Engage with students through interactive discussions, group activities, and real-world case studies to facilitate understanding of complex cybersecurity concepts.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to students, offering feedback and support to enhance their learning experience.
- Stay current with the latest developments and trends in the field of Cyber Security, and incorporate relevant updates into lectures and coursework.
- Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve curriculum, instructional materials, and teaching methodologies.
- Participate in departmental meetings, faculty development programs, and other institutional initiatives.
- Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Cyber Security or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the field of Cyber Security.
- Strong expertise in one or more areas of Cyber Security, such as network security, digital forensics, cloud security, or information assurance.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, and CIS Critical Security Controls.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to engage students in active learning and facilitate critical thinking.
- Professional certifications in Cyber Security, such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+, are highly desirable.
