Legal Advisor

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Legal Advisor with expertise in financing, banking, contract management, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of handling large-scale funding projects, performing due diligence, and ensuring full legal and regulatory compliance for both new and existing clients. A strong understanding of the MENA region’s legal landscape and proficiency in both English and Arabic is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Legal Advisory & Drafting:

Provide expert legal advice in areas related to financing, banking, project funding, and contract management. Draft and review contracts related to large-scale funding and investment projects.

Claim Management:

Oversee and manage all legal claims related to project financing, ensuring accurate documentation, timely filing, and effective negotiation and settlement strategies.

Due Diligence:

Conduct thorough due diligence on new clients and potential business partners, ensuring compliance with legal, financial, and regulatory frameworks.

Compliance & Risk Management:

Advise on legal risks and regulatory compliance requirements in the MENA region and beyond, ensuring the company and its clients adhere to local and international laws and regulations.

Negotiation & Relationship Management:

Lead negotiations on behalf of the company in funding agreements and other contracts. Collaborate closely with financial institutions, external legal counsel, and internal teams.

Legal Research:

Stay informed about current legal trends, particularly in the financial and banking sectors, and provide recommendations to the management on adapting to changes in the legal environment.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Law or equivalent. An LLM specializing in finance, banking, or project law would be advantageous.

Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in legal advisory roles within banking, finance, and project funding sectors. Prior experience in claim management, contract drafting, and compliance is mandatory. Experience within the MENA region is highly preferred.
