The main responsibilities will include:
- Plan, monitor, document, report and coordinate all International Trade Control-related activities ensuring compliance with all trade control regulations.
- Develop and implement comprehensive compliance policies and procedures to improve the quality and delivery service of the function.
- Manages all trade compliance risks.
- Conduct regular monitoring and auditing of export-related activities.
- Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
- Draft due diligence questionnaires and end-user certificates.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory authorities, ensuring open lines of communication and timely reporting.
- Serves as subject matter expert for internal stakeholders.
- Mentor, guide, and train junior staff on compliance-related matters.
To be successful you will need to meet the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law.
- Must be a Certified Export Compliance Officer.
- Must have experience in Trading, Imports, Exports, Sanctions, and NFTS.
- In-depth knowledge of application of Trade Regulation particularly to disruptive technologies such as Cloud and Artificial Intelligence.
- Sound knowledge of restricted party screening, export licensing, and knowledge of EAR and ITAR regulations.
- Experienced in drafting high-quality communication material and confident in reviewing all legal instruments.
