Legal Contractor

 

Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Contractor to join our team at Bank. As a Contract Interpretation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting master contracts, schedules, and Statements of Work (SOW). Your primary responsibility will be to extract metadata and provide in-depth legal insights into the contracts.

 

Responsibilties:

Thoroughly review and interpret master contracts, schedules, and Statements of Work to extract relevant metadata and critical information.

• Provide comprehensive legal analysis and interpretation of contractual terms and conditions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between legal interpretations and operational requirements.

• Identify and highlight potential legal risks and issues within contracts and propose effective solutions.

• Stay informed about legal developments and industry trends to ensure contract compliance and mitigate potential risks.

• Work closely with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, and project management teams, to address contractual queries and concerns.

• 7. Assist in the negotiation process by offering legal insights and contributing to the development of contract terms.

• Draft and execute schedules and SOW as needed

 

Problem solving and Complexity:

Ability to interpret complex contractual language to derive meta data for contractual analysis

 

 

In depth knowledge in commercial contract clauses, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.

• Ability to work as a team member and have a flexible approach to duties

• Capacity to develop networks with internal stakeholder to seek clarifications as deemed appropriate

 

Competencies:

Proven experience in contract interpretation, with a focus on financial and banking contracts.

• Strong knowledge of legal principles, contract law, and financial regulations.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills to convey complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in extracting metadata from contracts and utilizing legal technology tools is highly desirable.

Education:

University Degree or Equivalent

Experience 4 -5 years’ experience in contracts management
