Description:
Work Experience - 8 years of extensive experience in the legal leadership role and other related control functions (e.g. governance, risk, and compliance). Experience working in an international environment is preferred. In-house UAE experience is a must.
- The role is required to provide support by giving complex legal expertise in areas of corporate, intellectual property, M&A, litigation, employment, real estate, procurement, finance, commercial and construction law.
- Drafting, reviewing, and updating legal documentation, templates, and presentations; advising on contentious disputes, settlements, and litigation matters; Advising Commercial business units and assessing legal risks and liability on legal exposures;
- Liaising with external counterparts, government agencies, and other competent authorities; building and maintaining relationships with external legal counsel as may be required.
- Monitoring and adhering to budget and fulfillment of department KPIs.
- advising on entity structures/corporate advisory on the group portfolio and ring-fencing liability.
- Establish collaborative relationships with international institutions/external counsel/regulatory bodies in order to ensure global best practices.
- Partner with different Business units to ensure that compliance and risk guidance is implemented, action plans are completed in a timely manner, and proper controls are in place.
