Description:
As the Legal Business Partner (BP) for Middle East overseas joint venture projects, you will take the lead in managing all legal affairs and mitigating legal risks. You will work closely with the Group Legal Department and the Overseas Joint Venture Division, ensuring seamless communication and legal support. Your key responsibilities will include:
Investment and Financing Legal Support:
- Provide expert legal guidance during investment and financing negotiations.
- Review and modify transaction documents to ensure compliance.
- Assist in the application process for government subsidies for Middle East projects.
Engineering and EPC Legal Support:
- Offer comprehensive legal support for feasibility studies, project evaluations, and EPC engineering contracts.
- Engage in negotiations, procurement processes, and resolve potential disputes related to Middle East projects.
Corporate Governance Legal Support:
- Serve as a key legal advisor from a shareholder’s perspective, ensuring robust corporate governance.
- Manage board meetings, partner communications, and conduct legal reviews of government and business correspondence for joint venture projects in the Middle East.
- Facilitate regular legal training sessions.
Comprehensive Legal Support:
- Monitor and interpret trade policies, ensuring legal compliance in major contracts and data management.
- Support daily operations, production activities, and provide legal insight for critical business decisions of the joint venture.
Dispute Resolution:
- Lead the resolution of legal disputes or collaborate in their resolution, ensuring favorable outcomes for the company.
Management of External Law Firms:
- Oversee and coordinate with external legal advisors, ensuring top-tier legal counsel is provided.
Skills Requirement:
- Education: Bachelor of Law.
- Specialized Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the energy market, energy transition policies, and sustainability directives and regulations related to carbon zero.
- Skills and Abilities: Minimum 5-10 years of legal working experience in a corporate legal department, preferably with experience in a law firm.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English.
- Cultural Competence: Proactive approach, ease of communication, and openness to different cultures.
