Description:

To independently manage the 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) business of the Company by ensuring maximum utilization of the available storage space and resources to generate additional revenue and profit for the Division and the Company.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

·        Contribute to the formulation of strategy, business plans and business processes for the Division and ensure effective implementation of the same.

 

·        Participate in the Annual Budget preparation for the Division, communicate the same to all staff members and ensure achieving the same.

 

·        Set measurable objectives and KPI’s for the Division, communicate them to all stakeholders and ensure achieving the same within the set time limit and with available resources.

 

·        Source new clients for the Division to maximize utilization of the available storage space and the resources.

 

·        Review all contracts with the clients and third parties to ensure that the same comply with the set standards and protect the interest of the Company.

 

·        Liaise with JAFZA to obtain license (s) for additional product lines and source additional warehousing space if and when required.

 

·        Interact with the clients to track movement of products from their suppliers and ensure safe and timely receipt of goods in the warehouse.

 

·        Ensure safe and proper storage of goods in the warehouse while maximizing space utilization.

 

·        Liaise with the transportation department/company for the delivery of client’s goods and ensure timely and safe transportation of goods to the client’s destination as required by the clients.

 

·        Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all incoming and outgoing goods.

 

·        Maintain effective and cordial relationship with the clients and other business partners to ensure long-term and fruitful business relationship.

 

·        Manage all staff reporting to the position so as to effectively recruit, train, evaluate, motivate, delegate and monitor their activities.

 

·        Any other tasks assigned from time to time.

Educational Qualification:

 

·        Post Graduate Degree (preferably in Supply Chain/Logistics).

 

Experience and Skills:

 

·        10+ years of relevant experience in Supply Chain and /or Logistics with minimum 3 years in the 3PL domain.

·        Hands-on experience of working on Logistics related ERP and strong PC skills.

·        Good knowledge of the JAFZA regulations related to licensing, business set-up and logistics business.
