Manager

 

Description:

Contribute to the achievement of department objectives by executing/ achieving the KPIs assigned by the line manager.

Contribute to the development of operational plans, and financial budget for the department and support implementation within the section.

Support the formulation and implementation of policies and procedures, within the section ensuring compliance with organizational standards.

Identify opportunities and contribute to the implementation of process improvement/ digitization/ change management initiatives within the section.

Functional

Develop and implement comprehensive governance and risk management frameworks and policies, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, standartds requirements, and best practices.

Manage the identification and assessment of internal and external risks using advanced analytical tools and methodologies to inform risk mitigation strategies.

Establish robust systems for monitoring and reporting risk exposures, providing timely information for decision-making to senior management and the board.

Integrate risk management considerations into strategic planning, decision-making, and key processes across the organization to foster a proactive culture of risk awareness.

Design, document, and support the implementation of a comprehensive DOA framework related to business activities to ensure effective decision-making and robust risk management practices.

Oversee the development and maintenance of crisis management and business continuity plans to ensure organizational resilience under adverse conditions.

Develop Business continuty policies and frameworks and standards requirements, alighn with best practices.

Enhance the organization's awareness of the risk management system, governance, and business continuity.

Direct the liaison with internal and external stakeholders to ensure understanding, alignment, and adherence to governance frameworks and processes.

Provide guidance and support to departments in implementing and maintaining adherence to governance standards and regulatory requirements.

Develop and monitor key performance metrics and indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of risk management frameworks and governance initiatives.

Conduct regular reviews and updates of risk and governance policies to adapt to changes in the operating environment or standards requirements.

Establish systems for the formation, oversight, and monitoring of committees within the organization, including defining charters, roles, responsibilities, and KPIs.

Manage requests for forming, reforming, or disbanding committees, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies, and maintaining a comprehensive database.

Managing the corrective actions related to risk and governance audit.

Organizational

Contribute to the recruitment process by identifying and attracting top talent, ensuring a strong and capable team. Address training needs by developing and implementing comprehensive training programs

Oversee performance management processes, including setting performance expectations, conducting regular performance reviews, and addressing any performance issues promptly and effectively.

Ensure adherence to the policies and procedures of health, safety, and environment within the section.

Prepare periodic & ad hoc reports and share them with relevant stakeholders for review and decision-making as requested.

Ensure understanding, and adherence to the information security policies and procedures related to their day-to-day activities and safeguard information assets from unauthorized access (disclosure, modification, and destruction).

Reduce the department’s risks by closing all audit findings from different entities such as IAD, FAD, ISR, ISO, and other certificates in line with the agreed deadlines related to the section.

 

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION

Experience Required

Education Qualification & Certifications

Required (Min. Experience): 8 years of experience in governance and risk management including at least 2 years of experience in managing a team.

Preferred: Experience in leading the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks across organizational processes, ensuring robust governance frameworks.

Required (Min. Qualification): Bachelor’s Degree, Risk Management, Organizational Resilience or a relevant field.
