Curriculum Development
- Advise and co-operate with the principal and other colleagues on the preparation and development of courses of study, teaching materials, teaching schemes, methods of teaching and assessment, and pastoral arrangements
- Take responsibility for specific subjects.
- To embed UAE heritage and culture within the curriculum.
Skills, Qualifications, And Experience
- Relevant British teaching qualification: to teach Secondary School Maths (a Bachelor’s degree and a recognized teaching qualification)
- A minimum of 2 years of recent teaching experience in KS3,KS4 and KS5 [Maths]
- A good working knowledge of the latest UK practice from either the UK or a British Curriculum school overseas
- A good knowledge of the GCSE, BTEC, and International A-Level curricula (Edexcel, Oxford AQA, and AQA IGCSE)
- Excellent communication skills to lead by example, as well as collaborate with Key Stage leaders, Senior Management, and parents
- Be flexible and adaptable to the ever-changing world of education
- Be reflective and passionate about self-development whilst contributing to the high standards of the school
- Have the ability to research new initiatives and implement them whilst evaluating current processes
- Have the ability to confidently utilize assessment for learning strategies and a variety of tasks to enhance learning
- Be proficient in ICT and learning technologies.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities and the willingness to support colleague development.
