Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in airport projects to join our team for the Sharjah Airport Expansion Project. This role focuses on construction supervision to ensure the successful delivery of critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, water supply & drainage system, fire alarm, firefighting system and fire protection, and fuel systems.
- Lead and manage a team of engineers and inspectors, assign tasks, provide guidance, and ensure high-quality performance.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, design standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Review and approve contractor documentation to verify alignment with project requirements.
- MEP Coordination, monitor construction progress, conduct site inspections, and ensure contractor work meets quality standards and timelines.
- Identify and resolve technical issues during project execution.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and client representatives.
- Provide technical guidance and maintain accurate project documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 15+ years of total experience, with 5+ years in construction supervision for airport projects.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems for airport infrastructure.
- Proven experience in the installation and commissioning of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Familiarity with international codes and standards for mechanical systems.
- Proven leadership skills, managing engineers and inspectors.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders on-site.
