Mechanical & Plumbing Draftsman

Description:

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical & Plumbing (M&P) Draftsman to support our design and construction teams. The M&P Draftsman will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and plans for M&P systems in interior fitout projects, ensuring compliance with building codes, regulations, and project specifications.

Roles and Responsibilities

§ Create detailed M&P drawings, plans, and diagrams using computer-aided design (CAD) software.

§ Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate M&P systems into interior fitout designs.

§ Review architectural and structural drawings to identify M&P requirements and constraints.

§ Ensure that M&P designs comply with applicable building codes, regulations, and industry standards.

§ Collaborate with project managers to develop accurate project schedules and budgets for M&P works.

§ Provide technical support and assistance to construction teams during the installation and commissioning of M&P systems.

§ Perform site visits and surveys to gather information and verify existing conditions as needed.

§ Maintain accurate records of M&P drawings, revisions, and project documentation.

Requirements

§ Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering, or related field.

§ Proven experience as an M&P Draftsman or similar role in the construction industry, preferably within interior fitout projects.

§ Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar programs.

§ Strong knowledge of M&P systems, including HVAC, Mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection.

§ Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to M&P design and construction.

§ Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and documentation.

§ Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

§ Problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve technical issues related to M&P systems.
