Description:
We are seeking a MEP Project Engineer to join our client in Dubai in a permanent role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, real estate, and development projects within the UAE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Planning:
- Develop and review MEP designs, ensuring compliance with local codes, standards, and regulations.
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations for proposed systems and equipment.
- Project Management:
- Manage MEP projects from concept through completion, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate MEP systems into overall project plans.
- Prepare and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Construction Supervision:
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems on-site.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards and safety protocols are met.
- Resolve technical issues and provide solutions during the construction phase.
- Procurement and Vendor Management:
- Identify and select suppliers and contractors for MEP works.
- Evaluate bids and negotiate contracts to secure the best terms and conditions.
- Manage vendor performance and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure all MEP works comply with UAE regulations, codes, and standards.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Prepare and submit required documentation to regulatory authorities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP engineering within the construction/real estate sector in the UAE.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects.
- In-depth knowledge of UAE building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Proficiency in MEP design and project management software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
