Description:
An excellent opportunity is available with an established banking organisation in the Dubai location for a Middle Office Risk Manager, within the Middle Office Risk function.
Risk Middle Office is a function within Financial Risk Management that is responsible for Exposure Metric Validation, Treasury Product configuration, Margining, daily independent valuation of FI, FX and Derivative Trades, Risk Limit Management and Risk Reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independent Valuation of Derivative Portfolio and providing the required analysis.
- Reporting of Fixed income portfolio including derivative hedges, FX and equity portfolio of the Bank.
- Ensure all risk and exposure related limits are updated in the treasury system and are aligned with adequate approvals.
- Monitor risk and exposures limits such as Investment limits, FX limits, stop loss limits, Duration limit etc. on daily basis and inform management of any deviations. Coordinate with front office and other support teams, locally and globally, to address related enquiries and issues.
- Responsible for testing and new product configuration in Treasury System. Provide business support and oversight on new products/transactions, financial resources, liquidity management and trade bookings. Institute performance analytics; and help navigate regulatory, industry and account changes
- Reconciles reports between systems to ensure that numbers from multiple systems are consistent.
- Ensure checking and monitoring of market data required for valuation of treasury portfolio fetched in Treasury core system from platforms like Bloomberg and Reuters.
- Responsible for Risk limits report and highlighting limit excess cases and performing movement analysis.
- Ensuring all regulatory reports such as stress templates, investment report etc. are submitted to Central Bank on timely basis.
