Description:
Our Observer / Acquisition teams offshore ensure professional operation of our monitoring and recording systems both for our ultra high-resolution operations for offshore wind farms and for oil and gas and carbon storage.
As an Observer / Acquisition Specialist, you should be a practical team player. You will be responsible for reliable operation of our digital data acquisition systems, including maintenance and repair of both hardware and software. You will manage and integrate a team with varied skillsets and backgrounds, prioritizing health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ).
Main Tasks
- Operate the onboard instruments used for seismic data acquisition
- Monitor real time data quality and system status
- Deployment of the in-sea data acquisition cables
- Maintenance of the onboard and in sea equipment used for seismic acquisition
Required qualifications
- A degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline: instrumentation, electronics, electrical power, information technology,however relevant experience will be evaluated as a substitution to formal education.
- Good in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Operational knowledge of UHR3D Acquisition systems such as P-Cable ,Sealink or Hydroscience systems.
- Knowledge of Marine High Voltage Sparkers, including Operation, Configuration and Maintenance.
Preferred qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with marine seismic acquisition.
- Operational knowledge of hydrographic sensors including multibeam side-scan sonar and sub-bottom profilers, including configuration and maintenance.
- Highly motivated and eager to learn
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good knowledge of HSEQ requirements, shows interest in and complies with HSEQ policies
- Takes responsibility and ownership of given tasks
- Able to identify problems and solutions in a timely manner
- Able to communicate ideas and information effectively
