Optimization Engineer

Description:

LTE/NR radio network optimization engineer is responsible for providing RAN feature testing, parameter optimization, quality assurance and troubleshooting analysis for LTE / 5G NSA / 5G SA optimization projects.

Degree in telecommunications, knowledge of radio network planning & optimization in telecom area or other relevant training

7+ years’ experience in RF optimization on LTE and 5G NSA/SA

Experience from Ericsson RAN gNB/eNB parameters and PM counters

Hands-on experience of drive test tools (NEMO, TEMS, R&S, XCAL or equivalent). Experience from voice POLQA MOS measurement is a plus.

Hands-on experience of drive test post-processing tools (NEMO, TEMS, R&S, XCAP or equivalent)

Hands-on experience of Wireshark trace analysis on call flow signaling analysis and TCP throughput issues

Experience on any of the following tools is an advantage: MapInfo, QGIS, Ericsson ENM/ENIQ, Huawei MAE, SQL, Python

Understanding LTE and NR voice/data call setup flow, including VoLTE/VoNR

Understanding of LTE and NR RRC/NAS/S1/NG/X2/Xn signaling protocols for troubleshooting purposes

Understanding of 3GPP mobile system architecture, radio interface, protocols and signaling
