Description:
The Payroll Specialist responsibilities include reviewing payroll data and documents for inefficiencies and errors, checking whether all amounts are accurate based on hours worked and ensuring payments are made on time.
Job Responsibilities:
- Process Payroll for Direct & Indirect staff of the company. Collecting and analysing the accuracy of employee time sheets, understand the projects to capture the timesheets correctly along with Overtime Hours.
- Coordinating with the Payroll Supervisor in preparing all documents and calculations in time.
- Help Preparing and updating Month end Direct & Other Payroll GL reports. Creating procedures and policies that ensure and improve timely accounting of all the financial transactions related to payroll.
- Assist and take part in annual budget preparation. Carry out variance analysis against budget and provide explanation for major variance.
- Handle external auditors and provide audit schedules and supporting documents.
- Maintain and contribute to a Company philosophy of Continuous Improvement. Essentially this will involve taking ownership & responsibility for your processes and continually seeing to review and improve these functions.
Requirements:
- Up to 5 years professional relevant experience, ideally in the Energy sector, Construction sector.
- Previous experience in similar size organisations running payroll.
- Some accounting and finance acumen.
