Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Planning Engineer for our construction division. The Planning Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing detailed project plans, schedules, and timelines to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and effectively. This role involves coordinating with various teams, managing resources, and monitoring project progress to identify and address any issues that may arise. Candidates on Visit Visa or cancelled visa will be given more preference since it’s an immediate vacancy which needs to be filled. Our Office is location in Umm Al Quwain – UAE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning:
- Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules using project management software.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Identify and allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Schedule Management:
- Create and maintain project timelines, ensuring alignment with project goals and deadlines.
- Monitor project progress and adjust schedules as needed to address delays or changes.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports and forecasts.
- Resource Coordination:
- Coordinate with different departments and teams to ensure resource availability and efficient use.
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of services and materials.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.
- Implement risk management plans and track issues to resolution.
- Cost Control:
- Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost control.
- Conduct cost analysis and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, progress reports, and change orders.
- Prepare detailed reports for management and stakeholders, highlighting project status and potential issues.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all project activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure project deliverables meet the required standards.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Act as a liaison between project teams, clients, and stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
- Organize and participate in project meetings, providing updates and addressing concerns.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. (Relevant certifications are a plus, e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
- Experience:
- Proven experience as a Planning Engineer or in a similar role, with a track record of successful project management.
- Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
