One of our esteemed client is seeking a seasoned Planning Manager to lead and coordinate planning activities across diverse real estate development projects.
This pivotal role will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you’ll oversee schedules, resources, and budgets, driving projects from concept to completion seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules from initiation to delivery.
- Align timelines with project teams, identifying critical paths and prioritizing tasks.
- Adjust schedules proactively to address unforeseen delays, ensuring smooth workflows.
Resource & Budget Management
- Allocate resources effectively, including materials, contractors, and consultants.
- Partner with procurement and construction teams to ensure timely resource availability.
- Monitor and control project budgets, implementing adjustments to meet financial targets.
Stakeholder Communication & Reporting
- Serve as the primary contact for project updates, providing clear communication to all stakeholders.
- Prepare detailed progress reports, including KPIs, risk assessments, and financial insights.
- Lead stakeholder meetings to review milestones and address concerns.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify risks impacting timelines, such as regulatory changes or resource constraints.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and ensure compliance with zoning, permitting, and environmental guidelines.
Leadership & Process Improvement
- Mentor and guide the planning team, fostering accountability and excellence.
- Conduct performance evaluations and identify growth opportunities for team members.
- Enhance planning processes using advanced tools and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Urban Planning, Project Management, or a related field. (Master’s degree or certifications like PMP, RICS, or AICP preferred.)
- Minimum 7 years of experience in project planning or management within real estate or construction, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in project management software (Primavera, MS Project) and advanced Excel skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of real estate development processes, including zoning, permitting, and compliance.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex information effectively.
