Plant And Transport Supervisor

Description:

The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified HGV Technician with previous supervisory experience that also holds a class 1 HGV license and has experience working with a variety of LGV and HGV vehicles and trailers.

Responsibilities

Plant and Transport Supervisor Key Responsibilities & Duties:
 

• Previous Experience in a similar role is essential.
• Good HGV technical knowledge
• Supervising HGV fitters and apprentices
• Excellent people skills needed to build third party relationships.
• Working closely with logistics team to ensure 6 weekly inspections on all fleet are booked and completed within timeline.
• Ability to undertake fast and accurate fault diagnosis using diagnostic equipment.
• Responsible for the completion of safety checks and ensuring vehicles are ready for MOT’s.
• Skills to follow company processes for completing all paperwork including accurate completion of job cards and service records.
• Keep all workshop facilities, equipment, and tools clean, tidy, and well maintained.
• Working knowledge of Health & Safety
• General level of computer literacy is advantageous.
   

Skills

Plant Technician / PDI Fitter Experience/Skills:
 

• Knowledge that would be acquired through education to NVQ3 equivalent.
• CSCS
• LGV C & E licence is essential to take vehicles for MOT.
