Description:
As a Pre-Sales Engineer, you will responsible for providing technical expertise and support during the pre-sales process. This role involves understanding customer requirements, designing tailored security solutions, and presenting proposals that align with the client's needs. The Pre-Sales Engineer works closely with the sales team to ensure the technical feasibility and competitiveness of the proposed solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with clients to understand their security requirements, including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and other ELV systems.
- Conduct site surveys to assess the environment and identify potential challenges or opportunities for system integration.
- Design customized ELV security solutions, including CCTV systems, video surveillance, access control, and other related technologies.
- Prepare detailed technical proposals, including system architecture, equipment specifications, and cost estimates.
- Ensure solutions comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Provide technical support to the sales team during client meetings, presentations, and negotiations.
- Address technical queries from clients and provide clarifications on system capabilities, integration, and functionality.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to stay updated on the latest technologies and products.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality technical documentation, including system drawings, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and project scope documents.
- Maintain a library of standard solutions, case studies, and technical references.
- Work closely with the sales, project management, and engineering teams to ensure smooth handover of projects post-sales.
- Participate in product training and knowledge-sharing sessions to stay updated on emerging technologies.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in the ELV and security systems domain.
- Provide feedback to the product development team based on market needs and customer feedback.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in ELV systems, CCTV, and security solutions, with a focus on pre-sales or technical consulting.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection systems.
- Familiarity with ELV systems such as structured cabling, public address systems.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, EN, NFPA).
