Hiring Procurement Engineer (Interior)
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze all subcontractors and suppliers in order to select the most suitable suppliers who are able to deliver high quality products at competitive pricing.
- Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers on lead-time, cost and quality so as to obtain the maximum benefit for the company.
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers to meet objectives related to cost, delivery performance, schedule and quality.
- Develop purchasing or sourcing strategies based on portfolio analyses and supplier referencing study.
- Develop, implement and drive the procurement strategies in order to meet cost savings targets.
- Adopt appropriate subcontractor and supplier management methodologies and procurement strategies in purchasing to secure better prices.
- Assist Quantity Surveyors in sourcing specified / alternate suppliers with pricing for project and tenders.
- Assist Designers during sample approvals and sign offs with Clients. Assist in arranging all the approved samples in soft format.
- Assist in arranging samples from subcontractors and suppliers in coordination with Procurement department.
- Attend client meetings to understand design and material requirements and create purchase requests if required. Handle change of Material Requests.
- Establish new relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure adequate resources for all projects and to continually improve pricing and quality of work.
- Maintain sub-contractor and supplier information in company online management systems, Keep the Furniture, Fit-Out & Equipment Department all the time with high standards.
- Avoid cash purchases and work more on credit facility from the suppliers.
- Arrange for obtaining quotations, samples and technical specifications from suppliers.
- Coordinate with accounts department regarding all purchase orders and invoices.
- Prepare estimates for us in selecting vendors or sub-contractors.
- Prepare the L.P.O. for non-standard items purchase.
- Assign responsibilities and mentor project team.
- Preparation of bills of quantities.
- Budget preparation and comparisons.
- Predict the expense of future projects or products by analyzing monetary costs and other factors to provide a good estimate for the project.
- Prepare and submit weekly procurement report.
- Find problems with the project, Product assembly, and testing to correct the problems.
Qualifications:
- 2 to 5 years’ experience with interior Fit-out company in UAE
- Age should be below 35
- Good Knowledge of the Fit-out Suppliers & Sub Contractors in local market & overseas.
- Need to be available in UAE
- Experience in Interior Fit Out industry will be of advantage
- Technical Skills & Vendor Management
- Experience in material management
- Contract Negotiation & Risk assessment
- Good Interpersonal & communication Skills
