Description:
The Procurement Engineer will be responsible for the procurement activities to ensure profit of the Business Unit including but not limited to; locating key suppliers, negotiating Company’s purchasing agreements, making sure that the products meet Company’s specifications, supplier PO issuance, follow up on open orders and supplier data management.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain a Vendor Database that will allow the Company to have visibility of, but not limited to Up-to-date vendor details, list of approved products/services offered.
- Assist in developing local vendors that are ICV certified and International Vendors that have a local set-up. Optimise existing vendor relationships across business units.
- Source & negotiate required products/services, provide a bid analysis to the requestor, process purchase orders and follow up on delivery schedules.
- Understanding Layouts, P&ID, Plot Plans, General Arrangement Drawings and Isometric Drawings. Carrying out effective client liaison with the Project Manager & Customer for assigned project requirements.
- Coordination with warehouse on discrepancies/deviations and/or quality issues with relation to products received. Focal point of contact for employees for all operational requirements.
- Should be familiar with working practises in Oil and Gas Industry with highest attention to Service Quality & HSE.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5-8 years relevant experience in UAE preferably in oil and gas sector with a Degree in Engineering, Procurement, Supply chain.
