Hiring Procurement & Operations Officer (Metal Industry) – UAE (Engip)
Are you a seasoned procurement and operations professional with a passion for the metal industry?
Engip is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement cum Operations Officer to join our team in the UAE. In this critical role, you’ll play a dual role, streamlining our procurement processes and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities:
Procurement:
- Source and negotiate with vendors to secure the best prices and quality for materials.
- Manage the procurement process, ensuring timely acquisition of all necessary materials.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stay updated on market trends.
- Oversee inventory management and implement cost-saving measures.
Operations:
- Efficiently manage daily operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company policies.
- Implement and maintain operational procedures for optimal efficiency.
- Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges.
- Oversee logistics and ensure timely deliveries.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in procurement and operations, ideally within the metal industry (highly preferred).
- Proven track record of successfully managing procurement processes and optimizing costs.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant procurement software (a plus).
