Production Director

Our client, a premier events and live entertainment company, is seeking an experienced and visionary Production Director to lead all aspects of event production. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing large-scale events, from conception through execution, ensuring that every event is delivered to the highest standards. This role requires a creative leader with a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Lead and manage a diverse team of production managers, technical staff, and event coordinators.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation, creativity, and excellence.
  • Set clear objectives and expectations for the production team, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and goals.
  • Oversee all aspects of event production, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
  • Collaborate with creative, marketing, and operations teams to develop and execute event concepts that meet client expectations.
  • Manage the logistics of events, including site selection, vendor management, equipment rental, and transportation.
  • Ensure that all events are executed flawlessly, with a focus on quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
  • Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes to ensure that all elements of the event meet the highest standards.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding production-related matters.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and ensure that all aspects of the event align with their vision and objectives.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other external partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
  • Develop and manage event production budgets, ensuring that all projects are delivered within financial constraints.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising the quality or impact of the event.
  • Provide regular financial updates and reports to senior management.
  • Identify potential risks in the production process and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Ensure that all production activities comply with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop contingency plans to address any unforeseen challenges during the event.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in event production.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve production processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Drive innovation in event production techniques and workflows, ensuring that the company remains a leader in the industry.
     

Requirements· Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Production, Communications, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
 

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in event and/or production management within live entertainment with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale events from concept to execution.
  • Strong understanding of event logistics, technical production, and vendor management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in event production tools and software.
