Description:
The Project Director is responsible for the management, delivery and profitability of allocated projects. This responsibility extends to all aspects of the event including content, programming, resource management, commercial performance, meeting internal and external KPIs and leading the project team.
Specifically, the Project Director should:
- Lead the full life-cycle of a project, from pitch through to delivery and post-event wrap-up.
- Manage and liaise with all internal and external stakeholders. This includes other LINKVIVA teams, partners and suppliers, as well as our clients, licensing authorities, venues and other stakeholders.
- Be the main point of contact for our clients and partners to manage communication flow throughout a project.
- Attend internal and external meetings to present and discuss project status and progress.
- Create, update and share the project plan and status reports on a regular basis.
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, managing and onboarding the project team.
- Create and manage specific workflows and processes to ensure the smooth operation and delivery of a project.
- Set appropriate project KPIs, and ensure that those KPIs are met.
- Ensure all touchpoints are considered so the overall participants experience is delivered to the highest standards.
- Integrate sponsorship and marketing opportunities into the project, maximizing ROI for the client, LINKVIVA and sponsors and making sure all deliverables are achieved in accordance with the project timeline.
- Identify and manage revenue streams including ticketing strategy, cash and value-in-kind sponsorship, partnerships, revenue share models and vendor space rental.
- Own the overall project budget, ensuring it is regularly updated and accurately reflects budgeted and actual costs
and revenues to track commercial performance.
- Maintain a project master book, with up-to-date versions of all assets and documents.
- Be responsible for closing the project aYer delivery, including final budget reconciliation, post-event reports and debriefs.

- An experienced Senior Project Manager ready to take the next step in your career, or a Project Director looking for your next opportunity.
- An excellent leader. You will be expected to nurture and develop talent, and to support your team members.
- Able to demonstrate your previous success in strategic project direction including planning, resource allocation, communication, implementation, negotiation, evaluation and reporting.
- Professional, independent and self-motivated, with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to drive a project to successful completion.
- Experienced and skilled in organizing complex events with lots of moving parts.
- Comfortable managing commercial aspects of a project, understanding different cost and revenue streams, how to balance them, and how to deliver a positive P&L.
- Familiar with marketing and sponsorship, and how to use them to add value to a project.
- Able to present with confidence and presence.
- A skilled communicator, able to consult with internal and external stakeholders to agreed actions, outcomes and targets within a collaborative environment.
- Knowledgeable about event production, content, operations and logistics.
As a minimum, you should have:
- 10+ year’s event management experience in delivering large scale events.
- Previous experience working in the Middle East.
- A valid driving license.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
