Description:

The successful applicant will be the main responsible for setting-up, running and analyzing the data of ocean simulations conducted using the croco ocean model, in an idealized open-ocean configuration. Simple NPZD and iron-limited plankton models will be run alongside the physical module. By running the same configuration at different resolutions biases in the simulated plankton growth rate, productivity and phenology will be investigated. The successful applicant will work in a highly multidisciplinary environment consisting of post-doctoral researchers, research scientists and NYU faculty, and will conduce work on NYUAD’s Jubail supercomputer on a regular basis. The successful applicant will work under the close and continuous supervision of prof. Francesco Paparella
