Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Airline Ticketing Agent with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the travel field within the UAE. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus or Sabre. This role requires exceptional customer service skills, a proactive attitude, and a strong desire to advance their career in the travel industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ticketing and Reservations:
- Process airline bookings and ticketing using Amadeus or Sabre GDS.
- Handle changes, cancellations, and refunds efficiently.
- Ensure accurate fare quotes and manage complex itineraries.
- Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service to clients by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Assist customers with travel advice, itinerary planning, and special requests.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and empathy in all interactions.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Maintain and update customer records and booking details accurately.
- Prepare and process travel documents, including tickets and vouchers.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operation and high service standards.
- Problem Resolution:
- Address and resolve any booking or travel-related issues effectively.
- Handle customer complaints with a positive and solution-oriented approach.
- Professional Development:
- Stay updated on industry trends, airline policies, and travel regulations.
- Participate in training programs and contribute to team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the travel industry within the UAE.
- Proven experience with GDS systems, preferably Amadeus and/or Sabre.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using GDS systems and travel-related software.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Education:
- A diploma or degree in Travel and Tourism, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Other:
- Knowledge of UAE travel regulations and industry standards.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
