Description:
As a Risk Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that could impact the company's performance, reputation, and sustainability. You will work closely with various departments to ensure that risk management strategies are in place and align with overall business objectives. This role requires strong analytical skills, a proactive approach, and a deep understanding of risk management frameworks.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, assess, and prioritize risks related to business operations, including financial, regulatory, reputational, and operational risks.
- Develop and implement risk management policies and frameworks that align with business goals.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across departments to ensure consistent risk management practices.
- Monitor and analyze risk metrics and trends, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Lead risk assessment initiatives and conduct regular reviews to ensure risk mitigation strategies are effective.
- Develop and maintain a business continuity plan to ensure operations remain resilient in the face of unforeseen disruptions.
- Evaluate internal processes and controls to identify areas of potential risk exposure.
- Prepare risk reports and presentations for the board and senior management, highlighting key risk exposures and mitigation strategies.
- Work with compliance and legal teams to ensure that all business operations adhere to relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on risk management best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes that may impact the company’s risk landscape.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- 5+ years of experience in risk management, preferably in Crypto industry.
- Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks and methodologies.
- Experience in identifying and managing business, operational, financial, and regulatory risks.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Familiarity with risk management software or tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Professional certifications such as CRM (Certified Risk Manager), PRM (Professional Risk Manager), or FRM (Financial Risk Manager), ACAMS Advanced Risk Manager, and CRISC are a plus.
