Description:
Hiring Safety Officer
Minimum qualifications and experience:
- A diploma degree in engineering (in safety, civil or architect)
- Not less than 3 years technical experience in construction worksites.
- Must have qualification certificate issued by qualifying company for safety staff in construction worksites approved by the Dubai Municipality.
Key Responsibility:
- Awareness and understanding of all HSE rules and regulations
- Prepare and implement the site specific HSE plan, emergency response, and risk assessments
- Ensure that subcontractors operate in a safe manner and comply with the project HSE policy
- Organize training program on permit to work system, emergency response procedure, near miss and incident reporting to supervisors before deployment
- Liaise with departments and clients in controlling the permit to work system
- Carry out regular and random inspection on all sites and record results
- Record and compile safety statistics
- Ensure HSE records management as per legal requirements, project requirement, and Company requirements
- Develop and implement safe systems of work for the project
- Ensure that risk assessment have been carried out where necessary
- Ensure the use of protective clothing and equipment for the Job. Manage the issuance of PPE to workforce.
- Report unsafe conditions or defects in plant or equipment to the Project manager
- Report any injuries resulting from work activities.
- Investigate into site accidents and analyses causes and associated preventive actions
- Ensure the maintenance of high standard of housekeeping at all times
- Conduct HSE inductions for site workforce
- Conduct tool box training for laborers
- Ensure all measures are taken to reduce negative impact to the environment
- Monitoring disposal of construction waste in accordance with the condition and requirements of the relevant authorities
- Develop and foster safety culture and endeavor for zero accident project.
