Key Accountabilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain database systems to support various IT projects.
• Ensure database performance, security, and availability.
• Optimize database queries and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Implement and manage database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Collaborate with software developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of database systems.
• Monitor database performance and provide regular reports to management.
• Stay updated with the latest database technologies and best practices.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to database systems and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Database Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of database technologies such as SQL, Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with database design, performance tuning, and optimization.
• Familiarity with database security practices and data protection regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
