Senior Rotating Mechanical Engineer

A prominent organization in Dubai is looking for a Senior Rotating Mechanical Engineer to monitor the operation, maintenance, health, condition, and performance of rotating

equipment and provide engineering input and support to major and minor projects, development and implementation of operations associated with engineering projects.

Key Accountabilities:

- Provide direct Operations Support for the maintenance and operations of rotating equipment, including troubleshooting and timely resolution.

- Input into rotating equipment design, installation and commissioning perform technical reviews of critical engineering deliverables in Pre – FEED, FEED, EPC Projects, engineering Philosophies, Standards and concept design related to rotating equipment.

- Attend Hazard Identification (HAZID), Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP) and 3D model review workshops.

- Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) attendance for critical rotating equipment packages.

- Input and review of commissioning and plant start-up procedures.

- Competency & technical training input for operations and maintenance staff.

- Development & update of Safety Critical Elements (SCE) and performance standards.

-Technical input into maintenance build program (Criticality, equipment strategies and spares requirement).

To qualify for this role, candidates must:

- have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum of 15 years rotating equipment experience in the Oil and Gas Industry.

- have sound experience in design and practical use of high-speed rotating equipment including centrifugal gas compressors, aero-derivative and industrial gas turbines, ICL

compressors, magnetic bearings, high-pressure centrifugal pumps and sealing systems.

- have the Understanding of Safety Critical Equipment (SCE) and Performance Standards.

- have worked with a consultant or operating company involving high speed rotating equipment with gas turbine and centrifugal gas compressor experience.

- have a thorough understanding of rotating equipment design and international standards; experience in Pre – FEED, FEED, EPC Projects.

- be able to evaluate process data to assess actual efficiency, operating point, and performance of turbines, compressors, and pumps.

- be able to relate and communicate with EPC companies, Equipment Vendors, Operators, Supervisors, Engineers, Consultants, and Managers.

- Excellent verbal and written English language communication skills, planning and organization skills.
