Description:
Hiring Senior System Administrator, Linux/Oracle/
- Oracle DBA on Linux or UNIX platform for UAE Location.
- Minimum 7 years of experience as Oracle DBA on Linux or Unix platform
- Note: Quality of work experience will be rated higher than quantity, meaning candidates with less years of experience might be considered if they are demonstrating exceptional skills
- With vendor management experience in the region
- Any Oracle certification is highly preferred
- All technologies certifications a plus
- Any ITIL certification a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business IT, Management IT, Economical IT, engineering or a related technical discipline
Skills and Competencies
- Expertise in systems and database administration
- Very good knowledge of enterprise storage technologies and architecture
- Very good knowledge of virtualization technologies and products such as VMWare and Oracle VM
- Knowledge of Change Management frameworks such as ITIL
- Very Good knowledge of network infrastructure
- Sound knowledge of backup software and strategies
- Very good command of written and spoken English; knowledge of Arabic language is an advantage
- Good leadership skills including people management, selection and development skills
- Very good analytical, planning, forecasting, execution and problem-solving skills
- Results oriented whilst ensuring high quality of work
- Strong level of customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions
- Good knowledge of health insurance concept
