Senior Web Developer

Description:

Dubai-based Tourism company looking for a senior Web developer with ample experience in WordPress custom development and payment gateway integration.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain WordPress websites and plugins (CDN plugins, WP rocket

Integrate Payment Gateways within the website

Design custom solutions using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions

Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as designers, marketers, and project managers

Mentor and train junior developers

Must be responsible for both front-end and back-end development, including the implementation of themes and plugins.

Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration.

Monitoring the performance of the live website.

Requirements:

Strong experience in WordPress custom development and plugin development

In-depth knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Familiarity with custom post types, taxonomies, and APIs

Familiarity with Payment Gateways like Network International.

Familiarity with website speed optimization.

Ability to create and customize themes and templates

Good understanding of SEO principles and how to apply them in WordPress

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

Experience:

5+ years of experience in WordPress development

Desired Skills:

Experience with WooCommerce, Gravity Forms, and ACF Pro

Familiarity with Agile methodology
