Structural Engineer

Description:

We are seeking a junior Design Engineer with expertise in steel & Aluminium structures and frame analysis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing structures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Analysis:

a) Develop detailed designs for steel & Aluminium structures, including beams, columns, and connections.

b) Perform structural analysis using software tools (e.g., SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAFE, IDEA StatiCa, Limcon etc.) to assess structural integrity and performance.

c) Ensure designs comply with relevant codes and standards (e.g., AISC, BS, EC3 etc.).

Collaboration:

a) Work closely with design manager, and other engineers to integrate design requirements and constraints.

b) Coordinate with the construction team to ensure feasibility and execution of designs.

Documentation:

a) Prepare detailed design calculations, reports, and specifications.

b) Create and review drawings and plans, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Quality Assurance:

a) Conduct design reviews and provide feedback to ensure adherence to best practices and industry standards.

b) Assist in the development and implementation of quality control processes.

Continuous Improvement:

a) Stay updated with advancements in steel design and Aluminium technologies and methodologies.

b) Contribute to the development of innovative design solutions and optimization techniques.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

a) Minimum 3 years of experience in the design and analysis of steel structures.

b) Familiarity with construction practices and materials related to steel structures.

Skills:

a) Proficient in structural analysis and design software (e.g., SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAFE, IDEA StatiCa, Limcon).

b) Strong understanding of steel & Aluminium design codes and standards.

c) Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication and collaboration skills.
