Technical Superintendent

Alwan Marine are technical and commercial management of four tankers and two Cargo vessels with offices in Norway and UAE.

Our long-term partners are dedicated for a large fleet increase the upcoming year.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Coordination and arrangements of maintenance activities, major repairs, overhauls and dry docks in compliance with Class and Flag requirements in a safe and cost-effective manner.

• Monitor the vessels routine maintenance, PMS, establish maintenance strategies.

• Ensure spare parts and consumables stocks are kept in accordance with operational requirements.

• Monitor, record and report repair, maintenance and technical condition to the Fleet manager.

• Collaborate with suppliers, shipyards, classification societies.

• Visit the assigned vessels regularly for technical inspection and maintain close contact with crew.

• Responsible for emission reporting, MRV, DCS, ETS, SEEMP etc.

• Member of technical department contingency task force.

• Close collaboration with cross departments and commercial operators.

• Update the vessels in new circulars, regulatory enforcement and requirements for compliance.

 

Experience and competence requirements:

• University or College degree in maritime or technical discipline.

• Minimum 5 years relevant work experience in marine industry as superintendent, naval architect, Marine engineering,

Chief Engineer/2nd engineer or mechanical engineer with interest in the role.

• Fluent in English – spoken and written (working language is English).

• Familiar with applicable maritime rules, regulations, and industry requirements.

• Experience with planned maintenance systems (CMS/PMS/CBM).
