Kutubna Cultural Center is a literary hub in Dubai that supports and celebrates the Gulf’s authors, poets, and scholars. We promote Khaleeji literature and scholarship by organizing culturally enriching conversations, lectures, readings, and other activities for people of all ages.

Role Description

This is an on-site contract six-month role located in Dubai for a Theater Producer. The Theater Producer will be responsible for overseeing the development, planning, and execution of one theatrical production, managing budgets, and building relationships with performers, directors, and designers. They will ensure that productions run smoothly and that all aspects of performance are of the highest quality. The Theater Producer will work closely with the center's Director to ensure that our theater production is successful and accessible to the public.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Theater Producer
• Excellent project management skills and experience developing and managing budgets, schedules, and timelines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with a very limited budget
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with actors, directors, designers, and management teams
• A passion for theater and an understanding of the principles of theatrical production and design
• Bachelor's degree or higher in theater, performing arts, or a related field is preferred
• Fluency in English and Arabic would be an advantage
• Experience working with diverse performers, directors, and designers
• Ability to work under pressure
