We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Trade Execution Coordinator to join our dynamic commodity trading team. The Trade Execution Coordinator will play a crucial role in facilitating smooth trade operations by coordinating and overseeing the execution of commodity trades from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a deep understanding of trade logistics and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Trade Coordination: Collaborate closely with traders, logistics teams, and counterparties to ensure timely and accurate execution of commodity trades. Act as the central point of contact for all trade-related communication and coordination.
- Documentation: Prepare, review, and ensure accuracy of trade documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, letters of credit, and other relevant paperwork. Maintain a comprehensive record of all trade-related documents.
- Logistics Management: Coordinate the transportation and delivery of commodities, liaising with shipping companies, warehouses, and transport providers. Monitor shipment progress and address any potential delays or issues.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify and assess potential risks associated with trade execution, such as transportation delays, quality discrepancies, and regulatory compliance issues. Implement strategies to mitigate these risks and ensure smooth trade operations.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date trade data in internal systems and databases. Provide regular updates on trade execution status.
- Communication: Foster clear and effective communication channels with internal teams, traders, suppliers, and customers. Keep stakeholders informed about trade progress, changes, and any potential disruptions.
- Problem Solving: Quickly address and resolve any execution-related issues, discrepancies, or disputes that may arise during the trade lifecycle. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to find efficient solutions.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Previous experience (min 7 years) in a trade execution or logistics coordination role within the commodity trading industry.
- Strong understanding of commodity markets, trade processes, and international shipping practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
