Description:
Visual Merchandiser will provide great comprehensive design expertise and service using the full product range. The VM will be a self-motivated entrepreneur who is tech savvy, has an eye for colour, design, analytics and home furnishings knowledge. Create dynamic visual displays on our showroom sales floor that generates interest by customers, timely flow of product from back stock to sales floor and maintenance of standards for showroom floors at all times.
Roles & Responsibility
- Chiefly responsible for the merchandising of the showroom floor, as directed by the Merchandising department and as per the needs of the Store Manager.
- Order all supplies for merchandising and promotions, including but not limited to shop fittings, display props, and pricing supplies.
- Responsible for organizing all store maintenance projects.
- Responsible for quality of all showroom displays.
- Maintain a clean and organized stockroom at all times. Ensures all sold accessories and furniture is identified and tagged.
- Assists in furniture inventory counts and annual accessory inventory.
- Assist in evaluating current products on sales floor and assist in the offset of furniture displays.
- Educate store team to exercise creative flexibility that drives business results and maximize sales.
- Drive sales volume by reacting to sales and home fashion trends.
- Works with sales staff to update and keep product information current.
- Seeking feedback from colleagues and customers on the visual impact of displays and implementing changes.
- Perform special assignments as given by the Head of the Department.
Knowledge, Skill & Competencies required
- Preferably, a college degree in fine arts or diploma in related field.
- 1-2 years retail visual merchandising experience.
- Demonstrated ability to practice residential interior design including the ability to design and create dynamic furniture displays using colour, space planning and accessories.
- Entrepreneurial attitude and approach with demonstrated strong design and merchandising skills, furniture knowledge and strong organizational skills.
- Enjoy meeting and interacting with customers, demonstrates an energetic and positive attitude.
- Remain current on design and colour trends to create fashionable design solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to train and guide Sales Staff and other support team in terms of merchandising.
- Have a flair for design and colour.
- Be creative, imaginative and energetic.
- Be able to concentrate and work to tight deadlines.
