Description:

The Assistant Nurse - OPD (Outpatient Department) provides nursing care and support to patients visiting the OPD in a healthcare facility. Working under the supervision of registered nurses, they assist in patient assessments, administer medications, dress wounds, collect samples for laboratory testing, and provide education and emotional support to patients and their families. The assistant nurse ensures a safe and comfortable environment for patients during their outpatient visits.

Responsibilities
• Assist registered nurses in patient assessments and care planning.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Prepare patients for examinations and medical procedures.
• Collect samples (blood, urine, etc.) for laboratory testing.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the nurse.
• Dress wounds and change dressings as per the nurse's instructions.
• Provide patient education on self-care and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient records and activities.
• Ensure a clean and organized OPD environment.
• Assist in transporting patients and their belongings.
